After high school, Garcia attended Texas Christain University for several years and later transferred to the University of Texas. The University of Texas provided her with more competition at the University that made her capabilities better over time. Angela Akin Garcia found great pleasure as a professional golfer. But, she never dreamed of becoming a professional. When she graduated in journalism, she got a job as reporter for Fox Sports Southwest reporter.
